There are different types of Assessment Task, indicated in different assessment task screens, in OPAL. The images show the learners’ view when faced with these types of assessment.
The different types you will come across are as follows:
- plain ‘text box’ to input text directly
- ‘download and upload back again’, usually to view and amend a document on the learner’s own device, before uploading the amended document again to OPAL and their eportfolio, ready for assessment,
- upload a photo or file, using the UPLOAD buttons, for example, if the learner takes a photo using their own device, of some paper document or artifact
- online form, or ‘pop up’ form that opens in the learner’s browser window, typically, for them to enter text in a series of text boxes or table
- tutor observation form, where you, the tutor/assessor, observe the learner’s performance or practical task and then complete the online observation form to provide evidence for the learner of their achievement, within their OPAL eportfolio.
These are described in more detail over the following pages.
