There are different types of Assessment Tasks in OPAL.


The different types you will come across are as follows:


  1. ‘Text box’ to input your answer into directly.
  2. ‘Download and upload back again’, usually to view or amend a document on your own device, before uploading the amended document again to OPAL and your eportfolio.
  3. Upload a photo or file, using the UPLOAD buttons, for example, if you take a photo using your own device of some paper document or artifact.
  4. Online form, which ‘pops up’ in your browser window, typically, for you to enter text in a table or other required interaction.
  5. Tutor observation, where the Tutor/Assessor observes you perform or do something and completes a tutor observation record form to provide evidence of your achievement for your eportfolio.
  6. Completion of a test or assessed e-Learning module.
